Rhyme times

Anne provides rhyme time training for library, Bookstart and museum staff and other interested practitioners. Her courses explore the role and value of rhyme times, and identify ways to deliver them successfully. This training is participative and practical.

Anne tailors her rhyme training to local circumstances and needs. Her courses are suitable for national and regional bodies, local authorities and as in-house training.

Delegates receive extensive sets of handouts.

Expected learning outcomes:

  • more knowledge of the importance of rhyme in child development and language acquisition
  • ideas for rhyme time content and structure
  • greater awareness of suitable materials and resources, and strategies for exploiting them
  • greater awareness of the value of props and ideas for using them effectively
