Dyslexia links and resources

This is Dyslexia Awareness Week, so I thought I would bring together some useful links and resources. First, some websites:

British Dyslexia Association
Dyslexia Action
Dyslexia Friendly Libraries
Dyslexia Research Trust
Dyslexia Scotland
Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre
Parents of Dyslexics

These are guides on choosing appropriate books for dyslexic children and young people:

TES has some new dyslexia related resources for teachers.

Dyslexic author Sally Gardner has today brought out top ten tips for dyslexic thinkers. Gardner is also one of the speakers at an event in London this Thursday about reading, dyslexia and education. She will be talking among other things about her new novel Maggot Moon. Its protagonist is a teenage boy with dyslexia. Disability book consultant Alexandra Strick will also be speaking. I am really looking forward to the debate.
